I can relate so much to what you have written. I'm 44 and have been spoiled in my life. Not too many endings have happened. Then, suddenly a tidal wave hits. My father is dieing, my husband(we've been married only 1 1/2 years)m loses his job, I could go on/on. But, I do try to believe that people are inherently good. However, there's a song/can't think of who sings it...but a line is "there are no happy endings but the happy moments in between are what make it okay" So, I try to focus on the minutes of my life/seek joy out of them.
